This doctoral program emphasizes research-based learning to address current and future challenges in the agricultural industry, both nationally and globally. Learning is facilitated through a blended online system, supported by comprehensive infrastructure and expert faculty members.

Tuition Fees

Starting from the 2015/2016 academic year, tuition is IDR 15,000,000 per semester. For international students, the tuition fee is set at USD 1,300 per semester. Qualified applicants may be eligible for scholarships under the BPPS program from the Ministry of Education. For more information, applicants are advised to contact their respective state or private universities.

Admissions for the Doctoral Program in Agro-Industrial Technology are centrally managed by Universitas Gadjah Mada. Please visit the UGM Admission Portal for information on the application process and requirements.

Reguler Program

Curriculum Components:

  1. Total credits: 47–50
  2. Core Courses: 6 credits
  3. Elective Courses: 9–12 credits
  4. Seminar: 4 credits
  5. Dissertation: 28 credits

Admission Requirements:

  1. Master’s GPA > 3.0 (Program accreditation A); GPA > 3.25 (accreditation B); GPA ≥ 3.5 (accreditation C)
  2. TOEFL Score > 450
  3. TPA Score > 500

Graduation Requirements:

  1. Credit load: 46–50 (12–16 theory credits, 2 seminar credits, 32 dissertation credits)
  2. GPA > 3.25
  3. Study period: 6–10 semesters
  4. Publications: Minimum of 2—at least 1 in an international journal and 1 in a nationally accredited journal or indexed international proceedings

By Research Program

Curriculum Components:

  1. Total credits: 46
  2. Core Courses: 6
  3. Seminar and Publication: 6
  4. Dissertation: 34

Admission Requirements:

  1. Master’s GPA > 3.25 (Minimum accreditation B)
  2. TOEFL Score > 450
  3. TPA Score > 500

Graduation Requirements:

  1. Credit load: 42–46 (6 theory credits, 2 seminar credits, 34 dissertation credits)
  2. GPA > 3.25
  3. Study period: 5–10 semesters
  4. Publications: Minimum of 3—at least 2 in indexed international journals and 1 in indexed national/international proceedings or a nationally accredited journal
